Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

Flood Watch issued May 16 at 7:39PM CDT until May 18 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS Mobile AL * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Alabama, including the following areas, Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Butler, Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia, Mobile Central, Mobile Coastal, Mobile Inland, Monroe, Washington and Wilcox, northwest Florida, including the following areas, Escambia Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland, Santa Rosa Coastal and Santa Rosa Inland, and southeast Mississippi, including the following areas, George, Greene, Perry, Stone and Wayne. * WHEN...From midnight CDT tonight through Saturday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected to pass across the area through Saturday afternoon. Widespread rainfall amounts of 2 to 5 inches are expected, with localized totals above 6 inches possible. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... West Pensacola, Warrington, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Myrtle Grove, Bon Secour, Perdido Beach, Fort Morgan, Caswell, Josephine, Perdido Bay, Perdido Heights, Paradise Beach, Chanticleer, Seaglades, Quinavista, Pleasant Grove, Millview, Ramsey Beach and Gasque. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
