Flood Watch issued May 16 at 11:51AM CDT until May 17 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of north and central Texas including the following counties, Bell, Bosque, Collin, Comanche, Coryell, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Falls, Freestone, Hamilton, Hill, Hood, Jack, Johnson, Kaufman, Lampasas, Limestone, McLennan, Mills, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant, Wise, Anderson, Henderson, Leon, Van Zandt, Milam, and Robertson. * WHEN...Through Friday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor-drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may become flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 3 inches, with isolated higher amounts up to 5 inches. You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Flood Warning issued May 16 at 4:00PM CDT until May 16 at 6:15PM CDT by NWS Fort Worth TX * WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of Erath and Hood Counties in North Central Texas * WHEN...Until 615 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is ongoing or imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Emergency management reported ongoing flooding due to heavy rain in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Stephenville, Granbury, Pecan Plantation, Lipan, Bluff Dale, Morgan Mill, Oak Trail Shores, Squaw Creek Reservoir, Huckabay, DeCordova, Cresson, Tolar, Stockton Bend, Waples, Mambrino, Paluxy, Patillo, Lake Granbury, Selden and Acton. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
