Flood Advisory issued May 15 at 7:29PM EDT until May 15 at 9:45PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, Greenbrier and Monroe. * WHEN...Until 945 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 728 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Big Run, Anthony Creek, Back Creek, Boggs Run, Fleming Run, Greenbrier River, Coles Run, Cove Creek, Boulder Run, Burns Run, Dry Run, Fitzwater Branch and Dry Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lewisburg...
